ABOUT US

First Presbyterian Church of Irvington is a covenant community dedicated to being faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the movement of the Holy Spirit among us. We strive to foster community among the faithful as we celebrate diversity and inclusivity as God’s purpose for the human family. Through worship, the sacraments, prayer, teaching, and fellowship, we are equipped to share His grace with one another, the community, and the world by witnessing the risen Christ in our daily lives. As Christ’s disciples, called to ministry in his name, we continue his mission of teaching, feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and welcoming strangers. We aim to foster connections between our local geographic community and our predominantly immigrant membership. Since our congregation primarily comprises immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean, we aim to provide a space where our local community can join us in worship and ministry.
